Summary
As Pre-Weigh Technician, you will focus on pre-weighing the ingredients needed for daily formulas and batches. Larger ingredients are added through bulk systems, but this position prepares the smaller, precise weights so the cooks can focus on blending and cooking. You will measure ingredients such as spices, flavors, and specialty items according to exact specifications and stage them for production. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, organized work and wants to support the accuracy and flow of the cook room.
 
  • Hours:  Monday to Friday 12:30pm-8:30pm
  • Pay: $19.25 per hour, plus a $3 shift premium for any hour worked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, or a $2 shift premium for any hour worked between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-weigh specific ingredients based on batch sheets and production formulas
  • Use proper utensils and tools to measure ingredients accurately
  • Follow portion and quality standards to ensure correct measurements
  • Label and stage weighed ingredients for cooks to use during production
  • Store or restock leftover materials safely and dispose of items when required
  • Examine incoming ingredients and verify proper storage conditions
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow all food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Clean utensils, equipment, and work surfaces before each work day
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and report shortages when needed
  • Report any quality concerns or deviations to the appropriate personnel
  • Avoid contamination and follow all food safety guidelines

Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and follow batch sheets and written instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
